Toshiba DVR670 DVD/VHS Recorder Saves Space
PRODUCT OVERVIEW
The Toshiba DVR670 DVD/VHS recorder with built in tuner is a sleek, front ports hiding DVD and VHS recording, ten pound media machine. It is DivX® Home Theater Certified and has built in ATSC, QAM and NTSC tuner and MP3, VCD, JPEG, Kodak Pic playback. It also features DV Input and 1080P upconversion. It can also record VHS to DVD with bi-directional dubbing.
On the air recordings are very good but playback lessens the audio to a slight degree perhaps due to the fact that the recorder records onto VHS tapes or DVD’s rather than a hard drive. Still, it’s nice to be able to update my VHS recordings. I had no idea how big my collection was until I started converting them to DVD’s, which are smaller and therefore easier to collect. They’re easier to share as well.
FAVORITE FEATURES
The fact that I don’t have to have an antiquated VHS recorder along with a DVD player in my media center makes this model outstanding for me. This is one of my two favorite features because it saves space, has fewer wires dangling off of it and allows me to record missed shows on a thin, flat disc.
My second favorite feature is the fact that the DVR670 plays CD movies. My computer has a CD recorder and not a DVD recorder, so this works very well for me!
