Toshiba DVR660 1080p Upconverting VHS DVD Recorder with Built-in Tuner
Toshiba’s New VHS DVD Recorder
Toshiba, a company known for its great laptops, has just put out its new VHS DVD recorder, which also include a built-in tuner. The DVR660 has the 1080p upconverting and can play practically all DVDs and CDs and can cost anywhere from $140-$220, depending on where you shop.
Audio and Video Jacks:
One of the main features about the DVR660 are the jacks provided on the back and front of the unit. On the rear of the unit, it has 1 S-Video input and output, 1 component video input and output, 1 composite output, an audio jack and a firewire jack. On the front of the unit, it has a composite video input and an S-Video input. Having all of these video jacks is very important because it helps if you want to plug in external speakers, or an external video source.
VHS and DVD recording:
Even though VHS is dead and gone, many people still have family home videos or older movies still on VHS. The best thing about the VHS and DVD recorder is that you can take a VHS tape, and record it onto a blank DVD, in the same machine, and vice versa. This feature is great if you have a loved one who doesn’t have a DVD player, but still wants to watch all the newer movies that won’t come out on VHS.
