It’s just been a week and I think I already am in love with this LCD TV from Samsung. Samsung LN40B550 40-Inch LCD HDTV is one of the best LCD TV available under $1000 range which is guaranteed to impress most of its owners like me with its quality and performance. I noticed that it also happens to be one of the lightest LCD TVs around in its class and that’s a big plus point about it. Its swivel stand is useful for an easy access to its rear to connect all sorts of cables after using which you’d feel TV sets without this functionality is all so useless. 
DVD movies look great on it, upscaled DVDs even better than that. And the Blue ray movies look just awesome, enough to blow my mind. The crisp video, the color depth, the dark blacks- make this all a wonderful LCD TV. This is the reason why I consider this as my favorite among all the LCD TVs that I have. However, it doesn’t play SD or the standard definition videos that, having said that it’s also true that it is a common issue found in almost all the LCD TVs of present.
