The DV-BD606 Blu-ray player plays Blu-ray discs in 1080p at 24 frames per second. This unit is also capable of producing Dolby TrueHD and DTS-HD surround sound. It can play the following formats and the following features; CDs and MP3s. User-Friendly Onscreen Display (OSD) for Settings and Playback Disc Playback – BD Video, BD Java, BD RE (ver 2.1), BD R (BDMV Format), DVD-Video, DVD+R, DVD+RW, DVD-R, DVD-RW, CD-R, CD-RW File Playback – MP3, WMA, and JPG.
Features
The DV-BD606 has the ability to upscale your current DVD collection to 1080p HD. This feature negates the need to replace an existing DVD collection with Blu-ray discs. In addition to upscaling this unit is capable of accessing BD Live content, one of the newest features of Blu-ray that allows users to augment their Blu-ray experience with additional information via the internet.
The DV-BD606 also has plenty of connectivity options. Even though an S-Video connection is not included this unit does have standard component and of course HDMI. The onboard SD card reader provides the convenience of accessing your MP3’s and view your family photos.
