I’m not going to beat around the bush. This camera is really expensive –$530. Not as expensive as some cameras I’ve seen, but
for 10.1 megapixels, I’d expect it to be less expensive. It’s a good quality camera, but I could’ve used a wee bit better resolution for how much I had to pay. I know that I already bought the thing knowing what I was getting; that doesn’t stop me from being shocked at how low the resolution was when I finally took my pictures. Considering Nikon has manufactured 14 megapixel cameras for about 20% the cost to the customers, I wanted better picture quality. Granted, 10.1 megapixels will get you a pretty good image if you go big –about 20 x 30.
I suppose the bulk of the cost comes with the LCD touch screen –which is rather convenient when you don’t want to have to go through a host of buttons to get the feature you want. But honestly, I would’ve gone without that and settled for higher resolution for $500. But that’s just me.
So to sum up: a decent camera, a bit too expensive for what you get.
