The Samsung BD-P1500 is a tabletop 1080p Blu-ray player. It is profile 2.0 compatible (with a firmware upgrade) and will play the following media types; CD, DVD, BD-R , CD-R , BD-RE , CD-RW , DVD-R , BD-ROM , DVD-RW. Samsung is a leading manufacturer of Blu-ray and other HD equipment.

Features
The BD-P1500 is a profile 1.1 player but it has the capability of being upgraded to a profile 2.0 compatible player. A simple firmware update allows this player to play back Internet-enabled BD-Live features that are included on a variety of Blu-ray movies. The BD-Live feature format is not widely used as of yet but having the capability will enable users to enjoy the latest technology.
