To tell you the truth I’m not at all a fane of Panasonic, but when you’re in a hurry and need a camera quickly, you go for what you can get. Unfortunately, I wasn’t exceptionally impressed with this camera for the $280 that I had to pay for it. For that amount of money I was expecting at least a 12 megapixel resolution…not so, ladies and gentlemen. I will hand this to the Panasonic Lumix, it sure didn’t shirk on technological advances. According to its description, it’s the first digital camera to implement HD video recording. But, quite frankly, I could do without for a better resolution…sorry Panasonic fans.

Sure, it can get up to 10 shots per second, but really the most important to aspect of any camera to me is if it can get me the cleanest pictures I want and get me the prints I want when I get home. I’m not saying it’s a terrible camera. But like I said, I’m not a fan of Panasonic –never have, never will. So I was disappointed by the price I had to pay for the limited resolution quality. Whatever floats your boat.

I have to admit, I’ve never been a big fan of Panasonic cameras; however, I decided to give it a chance once I saw this one. It’s sleek, compact, and boy was it unexpected. I travel quite a bit and I need a camera that can keep up with my lifestyle. The Panasonic Lumix has the most amazing zoom option –with 12x magnification zoom lens, enabling me to take pictures of a even the most remote attraction without having to leave my transport or get caught by those guarding certain monuments.

Besides the stellar zoom lens, this camera comes complete with an image stabilizer that keeps my pictures blur free –no matter how fast my tour bus is going. It doesn’t hurt that this camera has a 10.1 megapixels to back it up. But if that weren’t enough, the price was just right for someone like me who’s constantly on the go. For $220, I got the camera I needed for the type of life I want to lead.

Trust me, this is just the camera for you if you desire the perfect image capturer on all your international vacations.

Though I’m not one to pay a huge bag of cash –especially for a huge camera– I can easily give Panasonic a pass with this one. It’s a bit hefty on cost –about $325. However, there are some rather impressive features that come with this clunky monster –yes, I’m still just not convinced that bigger is better.

My absolute favourite features are the HD video imaging. It’s amazing! I’m so happy that Panasonic got in on the HDTV craze because the video that appears on my television screen after I’ve shot a scene is sheer magic. Especially if you’re one who fancies herself an independent movie director, this camera is going to shock and amaze you.

I was also very happy with the high speed response. There’s a tracking speed of an astonishing 0.3 seconds –meaning you’ll be able to capture any image even if it’s running past you at high speeds. You can also capture five shots in a row at 2.3 frames per second at the full 12.1 megapixel resolution.

I was quite impressed. So worth the money that I had to pay to get a huge camera.

Okay, so I’ll admit it right here and now. I used to abhor Panasonic’s cameras. They were clunky, a bit confusing, and just not attractive. But with this camera, Panasonic has broken its own mould. This camera is classy, sexy, and has simplified its effects. For a mere $152.95 you get a camera that looks great and feels great to control. The resolution is brilliant –12.1 megapixels. And more than anything else, the camera includes a 29mm wide-angle Leica DC Vario-Elmar lens –that means better pictures at night.

By far and away the most important feature is how well you can capture an object in motion. With its enhanced technology (a.k.a. AF Tracking), the shooter can now lock its focus on a moving object, getting the perfect image even when it’s sprinting in front of your screen. As the feature’s name suggests, the camera automatically tracks the object as it skips on its merry way. It’s brilliant!

I was shocked and amazed at how far Panasonic’s cameras have come. They’re simple, sleek, and extremely accessible. Finally, a camera for the right price and that gives you the exact results you desire.
