Because of its affordability and usability, Canon’s PowerShot A-series had established a good reputation. The PowerShot A-series is known for its high quality features and affordable price. And now, in addition to the A-series digital cameras, canon introduced the PowerShot A2000 IS digital camera.
Compared to its predecessor, which is the A720, this new ‘baby’ of Canon’s A-series is 25% smaller. Small and lightweight as it may seem, this new member of the A-series family is also packed of great features that everyone will surely appreciate.
The Canon PowerShot A200 IS has a 10 megapixel resolution for better shot details. It also has A good 6x optical zoom lens that can obtain 36mm-216mm of focal length. Even though A200 don’t have an optical viewfinder, a bright and enormous 3 inch LCD display screen was put in replacement.
The PowerShot A2000 also has Canon’s Optical Image Stabilization System or the OIC. This feature greatly reduces camera shakes that results in fewer image blurs. And although it doesn’t have the new DIGIC IV processor like any other new cameras do, it is equipped with the older version which is DIGIC III and even if A2000’s processor is not the latest, it has done a great job in enhancing the camera’s performance compared to most of its competitors.
